From the Wawel Dragon and Syrenka in Poland, to El Cid and the Lovers of Teruel in Spain, to the Odyssey and the Bridge of Arta in Greece, we saw how stories and art reflect shared values of justice, resilience, and community . CE-W2W addresses one of the most pressing challenges of our time: 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on Nigeria, which generates over 𝟐.𝟓 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: • Train 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 in recycling, upcycling, and circular economy business models. • Establish 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗯𝘀 equipped for waste processing and green entrepreneurship. • Foster the creation of 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀. • Promote public-private partnerships across EU and African regions. 🎓❗What is Early School Leaving and Why Does It Happen? 🇪🇺 Did you know that in 2023, 9.5% of young people in the EU aged 18–24 left education early, before completing upper secondary school? The EU aims to reduce this figure to below 9% by 2030. What is "Early School Leaving" (ESL)? Early School Leaving means leaving formal education and training before finishing upper secondary education and not taking up further training later. It can limit young people’s job options, increase their risk of unemployment and social exclusion, and impact society as a whole.
