An International visit for the Superhero Lab kindergarten teachers!

The Superhero Lab team of kindergarten teachers visited Caritas Kindertagesstätte Elifant am St. Elisabeth Krankenhaus, during the on-site workshop that was held in Leipzig, Germany (27-29 Feb, 2024).

🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️The kindergarten employs the co-construction method, which allows for the successful implementation of the Saxon education plan. Education and development take place through social interaction. Both the child and those around it (educational professionals, other children) are engaged. These social and interactional processes are influenced by the child’s own actions.

▪︎ 26 slots in two groups of 13 children aged 1 to 3 years.
▪︎ Children explore the world within the safety of their nest group.
▪︎ Settling in using the Berlin acclimatisation model

▪︎ 60 kindergarten slots in three groups of 20 children from the age of 3 until they start school.
▪︎ The work in the kindergarten area follows the partially open group concept, the children have fixed core groups, and cross-group activities take place frequently.
▪︎ Group rooms are activity rooms with diverse educational focuses.
